About Us

Bus Whisky Distillers is the first specialized whisky distillery in the Netherlands and an independent family-run distillery.
Founders Dennis Hurkmans & Ezra Leeger have been active entrepreneurs for nearly 20 years with De Heische Hoeve, a
local farm where guests can discover the rich flavors of regional products.

The Beginning

To add value to their farm’s fruit harvest and reduce dependency on supermarkets, Dennis & Ezra decided to start their own distillery. In 2015, almost by chance, they began producing single malt whisky – and from there, their passion grew into something extraordinary.

Where We Are Now

Today, the distillery has expanded its capacity significantly, focusing exclusively on whisky production. With a team of specialists onboard, Bus Whisky has grown into a brand that competes with the very best in the Netherlands.
